The LTA have announced that in addition to the twice yearly ratings reassessments (ratings runs), they will now be carrying out two additional mid-term reviews. This means that players who are performing well will not have to wait up to 6 months to receive a rating increase.

The former system whereby a ratings run comprised three separate iterations has also been discontinued making the ratings process simpler to understand for everyone, particularly players and parents who are new to the game.
