TSUK is recruiting a number of general assistants and mini-tennis assistants to help at three summer tournaments:

(1) The Devonshire Park Open Tournament, Eastbourne Sports Park (19th, 20th, 21st August 2013).
(2) The Esher Open Tournament, Surrey (24th August 2013).
(3) The Surrey County Closed Tournament, Sutton Tennis Academy, Surrey (27th August to 1st September 2013).

Mini-tennis assistants will provide on-court help in mini-red and mini-orange events including scoring, setting up courts and finding players.

General assistants' duties will include help with watering clay courts and generally helping the tournament organiser, referee & team of officials to help ensure that the competitions run smoothly.

Applications are welcome from candidates aged 16 or over with a knowledge of tennis. You must be physically fit, a good communicator, able to work as part of a team and available to work for a minimum of 4 hours a day. Shifts may be split into two sessions a day. Hours are likely to vary and you may be required to work at any time from 8:00am onwards although no evening work is anticipated.

Players who have successfully completed an LTA Competition Organiser's course will be given preferential consideration, although this is not a requirement.

Pay: £5.40 per hour. An additional payment of £0.60 per hour will be made to "LTA Competition Organisers". Payable in cash on completion of a time sheet/invoice which will be provided.
