Esher Lawn Tennis Club will be hosting this year’s annual junior tournament from Monday 16th to Saturday 21st August. This prestigious tournament is now 38 years old and has always been a very popular and well supported competition, attracting junior players of all ages and standard from all over the U.K.
All main draw singles events in 2010 will count towards LTA ratings and grade 3 rankings. We shall also be staging mini-green (10&U) and mini-orange (9&U) events too.
For the first time in 2010 we have partnered with David Fuchs and his company, Tennis Services UK Limited, who will be managing the competition on behalf of the club allowing players to make online applications. Shortly before start of the competition draws, orders of play and other tournament information will be published to this website which will be updated on a daily basis. David Fuchs has also been appointed as our tournament referee.
Our club boasts 5 of the best grass courts in Surrey together with 5 macadam courts. Matches will also take place at the nearby Reed’s school and free courtesy transport will be arranged between the two venues. Catering will be provided at Esher LTC throughout the tournament thanks to a team of volunteers. Scoreboards are provided for all matches and all courts have viewing facilities.
