The Sutton Tennis Academy (STA) is the country’s first indoor junior tennis centre. An international training centre located in South West London, 4 miles from Wimbledon. Sutton Tennis Academy was established in 1990 and is the UK’s leading performance tennis facility. Whilst it is London’s premier facility the academy offers a flexible approach to meet the training and practice requirements of all ages and levels of player, including professional, full–time, and junior performance players as well as beginners. The centre offers excellent facilities including 11 indoor acrylic, 8 clay and 5 outdoor acrylic courts, a luxury health and fitness suite, sports injury clinic, a relaxing sports lounge, indoor and outdoor viewing areas, a junior gym and function/conference facilities.

The Academy offers one of the most comprehensive tennis facilities and player support services in Europe, which can be linked with education or language courses. It is an accredited Aegon LTA High Performance Centre. We are supported by an excellent team, filled with highly qualified coaches, fitness trainers, a physiotherapy clinic, schooling, accommodation, very close links with American Universities, and sports science and psychology all onsite. The Academy is a training base for many world-ranked players including the likes of Pat Cash, and top British players such as Josh Goodall, Emily Webley Smith, Lana Rush and Tom Collautti.

In 1993 we established The Sutton Scholarship Programme, in partnership with Cheam High School. It is the longest-running Tennis and Education programme in the country. The programme allows players access to top-class intensive tennis training, whilst continuing their education. We also provide a very good private academic program here at the academy. With a classroom onsite and our in house tutors. The children are able to cater their academics to best suit them and their tennis. All our tennis programmes provide serious tennis players with excellent opportunities to progress their tennis in different directions, either into the Pro Academy and a professional tennis career, to gain a scholarship to an American or English University, or to begin a career as a professional coach. Programmes can be specifically tailored to suit individual needs.

This tournament is the FIRST of THREE Easter tournaments at the centre and is a GRADE 3 LTA rankings tournament aimed at intermediate and advanced players of all ages from 8&U upwards. Mens and Ladies singles events will be staged together with mini-red, orange and green events for younger players. Play will take place on the centre's American clay courts with acrylic courts being used for some matches.
